The FCMB Essay & Drawing Competition is a nationwide contest designed to attract and retain Kids and Teens customers while promoting financial literacy. Children aged 3 to 17 can showcase their creativity through essays and drawings and stand a chance to win scholarships and cash prizes.

Children aged 3 to 17 years. To qualify (New and Existing)

• New customers: Open an FCMB Kids Account with a minimum deposit of ₦50,000 and maintain it throughout the campaign.
• Existing customers: Increase their FCMB Kids account balance by at least ₦50,000 and maintain it for the duration of the competition.
• Customers who qualify for a monthly draw are also eligible for the grand prize draw if they maintain their balance throughout the campaign period.

• Open a new FCMB Kids account and deposit N50,000 and above. Existing FCMB Kids accounts customers should increase their balance by N50,000 and above.
• Submit handwritten essays or hand-drawn artwork through secure bank-provided link accessible only during the campaign.
• The essay will be a maximum of 250 words for 6years-12years and 500 words for 13years-17years categories, respectively.
• The child’s account details must be included (Account Name, Account No, date of birth, Phone No). while submitting the entry as follows using this link- www.fcmb.com/kidsessaycompetition
• Only shortlisted entries will participate in both the monthly and final draws
• All shortlisted entries from the monthly draw will automatically qualify for the grand finale draw.

• Start Date: February 17, 2025
• End Date: May 17, 2025

• Scholarships: Nine (9) winners (three from each age category) will receive scholarships ranging from ₦250,000 to ₦1.5 million.
• Consolation Prizes: Ninety (90) winners (₦50,000 each), with 30 winners announced monthly during the campaign.

• Entries will be reviewed monthly by an independent examiner and eligible winners will be shortlisted.
• Judging criteria include creativity, content relevance, and age-appropriateness.

Winners will be officially announced on May 27, 2025, and contacted directly through the provided account details.

Yes, each child can submit only one entry (either an essay or a drawing) during the campaign period.

All entries must be submitted online through a designated link provided by the bank

Physical submissions at any FCMB branch will not be accepted.

No, participation in the competition is free. However, maintaining the required account balance and meeting the required campaign dynamics is necessary to qualify.
