Q: HOW DO I GET A VISA PREPAID CARD?

It's easy to get a Visa Prepaid card - Simply walk into any FCMB Bank branch with proof of identity, a passport photograph and complete an application form. Your personalized card will be ready within 72 hours.

Q: DO I NEED TO HAVE AN OPER ATIONAL BANK ACCOUNT TO GET A PREPAID CARD?

No. You do not need to have any account with us to get the card.

Q: HOW DOES MY VISA PREPAID CARD WORKS?

Since it is a prepaid card, spending is limited to the amount of funds you load on the card. Each time you use your card, the purchase amount is automatically deducted from your card balance.

Q: HOW DO I LOAD MY CARD?

You can load your card through any FCMB branch or via transfer into card account.

Q:  WHEN WILL FUNDS DEPOSITED IN MY PREPAID CARD ACCOUNT BE LOADED ON MY CARD?

Funds paid in before 2pm will be available on the card by 8pm same day, else funds paid in after 2pm will be available on the card next day by 8pm.

Q: DO I NEED TO ACTIVATE MY VISA PREPAID CARD BEFORE USAGE?

Yes, simply call our Contact Center on 01-2798800 to activate your card

Q: DO I NEED A PIN WHEN USING MY VISA PREPAID CARD?

Yes, all POS and ATM transaction require a 4 digit PIN. Since the card comes with a default PIN, simply go to any FCMB ATM to change to your 4-digit PIN after your card has been activated.

Q: WHAT IS ONE-TIME-PASSWORD?

This has replaced the i-pin/web-pin for VbyV web/internet transactions using the visa card. It is required when a cardholder is doing online/web transaction on a merchant site. It is a six (6) digit number sent to the cardholder’s registered phone number to authenticate online/web transaction.

Q: CAN I WITHDRAW CASH ACROSS THE COUNTER AND ATM?

Yes, you can withdraw cash from the ATM. However there will be a charge for cash withdrawal across the counter and your card will be temporarily blocked for 24hours

Q: HOW DO I KNOW THE BALANCE ON MY VISA PREPAID CARD?

You can check the card balance on any ATM terminal that accepts your card variance.

Q: HOW DO I GET MONTHLY STATEMEN T ON MY VISA PREPAID CARD?

You need to subscribe to the e-statement service to receive your monthly statement by email. Alternatively you can walk into any of our branches and request for a print statement which would be delivered to you immediately.

Q: WHAT ARE THE COMMON REASONS MY VISA PREPAID CARD CAN BE DECLINED?

• Your FCMB Prepaid Visa card can be declined for a number of reasons including:
• Insufficient funds in your Visa card Account
• Card has not been activated.
• Wrong PIN being used (use of wrong PIN three consecutive times will block your card)
• Exceeding daily ATM withdrawal or POS limit
• Wrong security code on internet payments
• Supply of an address inconsistent with the address indicated on the card application form.

Q: WHAT SHOULD I DO IF   MY VISA PREPAID CARD IS LOST OR STOLEN?

Report lost or stolen cards immediately by calling our Contact Centre on 01-2798800, (07003290000)  and request that the card be hot listed.

Q: HOW LONG CAN I USE MY VISA PREPAID CARD?

You can use your Visa Prepaid card until the expiration date shown on the card, or until the value of the card has been depleted
